Where the Burbank Media District Comes for Hearing Care
Tucked into Burbank's media district, Sound Advice sees a clientele as varied as the city itself — touring musicians, recording artists, sound engineers, motion-picture and television producers, firefighters, peace officers, U.S. Veterans, and families spanning newborns to seniors.
That mix is why Dr. Lew has championed musician hearing protection and in-ear monitoring since 1992 — long before they became industry standard. From rock and roll regulars to MTV-era producers, the people whose careers depend on their ears trust Sound Advice with them.
With a 4.9-star rating from 158+ Google reviews, our reputation is built on lasting relationships — not transactions.

Sound Advice sees patients by appointment at our office in the University of La Verne building at 4001 W Alameda Ave #101, Burbank, CA 91505. We are open Tuesday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday and Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM — closed Sunday and Monday.

Your first visit at Sound Advice begins with a conversation about your hearing history, lifestyle, and goals. Dr. Beverly Lew, Au.D. then performs same-day diagnostic testing in a sound-controlled environment — audiometry, speech reception, word recognition, and tympanometry — and reviews your audiogram with you in plain language.
If treatment is appropriate, we discuss options that match your hearing loss, lifestyle, and budget — including hearing aids from Phonak, ReSound, Signia, Unitron, and Widex. Evaluations are painless and there is no pressure to purchase. Our goal is an honest picture of your hearing health and a plan that fits your life — not ours.
Yes. Sound Advice accepts most major health insurance plans for hearing evaluations, follow-up care, and hearing aid benefits when your plan includes them. Because coverage varies widely by carrier — and because hearing aid benefits are often capped or tied to specific timelines — we recommend calling 818-841-0066 before your first visit so our insurance biller can verify your benefits and explain what is and isn't covered.
For patients without coverage, or whose plans don't fully cover hearing aids, we offer CareCredit financing with deferred-interest and extended payment options — applications can be completed online or in our office.
Yes. Every set of prescription hearing aids fitted at Sound Advice comes with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. If your devices aren't the right fit after 60 days of real-world wear, bring them back and we'll exchange them for a different model — at no risk to you. Real life is the only test that matters, and we want every patient to leave hearing better.
Before any recommendation, Dr. Lew completes a lifestyle interview and listening-environment analysis so your hearing aids are matched to where and how you actually need to hear — at work, in restaurants, on stage, or at family gatherings. With Phonak, ReSound, Signia, Unitron, and Widex all carried in-house, patients are never locked into a single brand. Call 818-841-0066 to learn more.
Sound Advice provides hearing care for the entire family — from newborn hearing screenings and pediatric audiology to adult evaluations, tinnitus management, and senior hearing aid fitting.
Because of our location in the Burbank media district, we also serve specialty populations including musicians, motion-picture and entertainment industry professionals, firefighters, peace officers, and U.S. Veterans. Since 1992, Dr. Lew has been an early advocate for musician hearing-loss prevention through custom musician earplugs and in-ear monitoring. We see patients from across Burbank, North Hollywood, Hollywood, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Sherman Oaks, Glendale, Pasadena, and the greater Los Angeles area.
